Hair Care / Treatments & Masques / Color Treated

What it is:
A powerful, rinse-out repair treatment with long-lasting results to restore and prolong the colour of the hair. Coloured hair is instantly detangled.

What it does:
Makes hair easy to style and regains a soft, silky, natural feel. Powerdose Color seals in color and preserves vibrant shine of color-treated hair.

What else you need to know:
Powerdose treatments target the cuticle and hair's surface (Zones B & A) with professional concentrations of Bio-Mimetic Ceramide coupled with dedicated technologies for specific haircare needs. These treatments instantaneously provide deep condition at the hair's cuticle and surface areas for intense shine.

  1. Unscrew the powerdose and then insert it into the Powerdoser Sprayer until it clicks. The Powerdoser is now ready to use.
  2. Using the powerdoser, spray the treatment onto shampooed, towel-dried hair section by section and then massage into the hair.
  3. Rinse thoroughly and then style

IMPORTANT: remove the powerdoser after each application, and rinse it carefully under water, making sure not to leave any liquid in the spray system.

Love It!
This will keep your color shining and looking lovely for longer. First used it at the salon where I get my hair cut & colored. Started buying it here so I could do an extra Powerdose in between visits to the stylist. Works great!

Loved the feel
I tried this for the first time yesterday after using Redken Shades EQ - it felt so good going on my hair/in my hair, and I really feel like it made a difference in how soft it is! I would definitely buy the sprayer, though, it was hard to put on.

Love it. Makes my hair feel like silk
My stylist used this and charged me a fortune for it. I am so happy to be able to get it from Sleekhair. My hair does not break anymore, no more fly aways, and is smooth and silky. Use this once a month. Color last longer and no damage to hair.
ProsEverything. Makes color last longer, hair is soft and silky, no breakage

Can I leave this product in overnight and rinse in the morning?
When I've used this product I've followed the manufacturers instructions. It's a lightweight, quick penetrating serum. Therefore the product only needs to be left on hair for 5-10 minutes and then rinsed. Any protein based product shouldn't be left in hair for excessive time, or hair can feel stiff and dry. Oils can be left overnight.

what is the correct procedure of applying powerdose
There is a spray applicator that you use to spray it all over your clean and wet hair. I leave it on for a few minutes while I finish my shower, then rinse it out.

After You Get your Fresh Color, ThIs Is When To Use The Powerdose On Your Hair. Can Be Used In Salon Or At Home, Which I Do. It Was Very Expensive To Have It Done At The Salon. You Will Need To Buy The Spray Applicator From Sleek Hair, In Order To Apply The Product Properly. I Usually Wait A Couple Days Until After My Hair Is Colored, Rinse It In Cool WatEr, Gently Twist Excess Water Out Of Your Hair, Shake The Dose Bottle Well, Take Off The CaP And Snap on The Sprayer. I Start Spraying At The Roots All Over My Head And Then Throughout My Head. You Only Need One Spray Per Area. Don't Use It All Up On Your Roots. Keep Product On FOr 5 Minutes. I Put A Cap On With A Clip To Hold My Hair Up AndfFinish Showering. I Then Rinse, After 5 Minutes It So, With Cool Water. I Use A Leave In Conditioner And Then Do Whatever You.doc With Your Hair. You CanNot Use This Less Than 10 Days Apart. In Other Words If You Want To Use Another DOse, Wait 10 Days. I Only Use It Once A Month. It Helps In My Quest To Keep My Red Color...And It Works Well!! Great Smell Too! Sleek Hair's Price Is Very Reasonable! Since I Found The product Here I Buy 6 Or 9 month's Worth At A Time. LeT Me Know How It Works For you. I Hope ThIs Helps You Out.

Use Powerdose on towel dried hair, after color treatment or between coloring. The best way to apply Powerdose is with the L'OREAL SERIE EXPERT POWERDOSER SPRAY - POWERDOSE SPRAY item# : 14169-powerdose-spray. The sprayer is designed to fit into the bottle. Spray all over hair then massage into hair. Leave in for ten minutes. You may choose to cover with a warm towel during the wait period. Then rinse and style. Hair is shinier and softer and color holds better.

You can put it in a spray bottle or apply it the way you apply conditioner.

My stylist uses this treatment on my hair after she colors it so I learned this from her. Apply using the Powerdose Sprayer (a separate purchase but it is reusable so definitely worth it) to towel dried hair. I leave it in for 5-10 minutes then rinse it out, but in the salon she only leaves in on for 2-5 minues before rinsing.

how often can i use the powerdose?
According to the brochure, the conditioning and shine effects of a Powerdose treatment can last up to 6 shampoos. I use it once a week for 4 weeks right after I color my hair. If I didn't color my hair very often, I'd use it once a week for a few weeks after coloring, and then spread out the usage to every 2-4 weeks. It seems to work best the first few times after I color my hair.

I used it about once every 2 weeks. I don't think you'll really need to use it more often. The only directions that I've been able to find for it said that it should be done every 4-6 weeks. To use, shampoo, spray in powerdose massage through hair and scalp for 3-5 min, rinse and follow with appropriate (whatever tat means, I just used my own) conditioner again 3-5 minutes to lock in power dose, rinse and dry/style as usual.

Do you apply the whole bottle after each color? I have been putting in on right out of the bottle. Is is suppose to be diluted and sprayed on?
The whole bottle should be applied undiluted after coloring. In a salon it costs $30 for one treatment.

I always apply right after color, it seals in the color and provides a wonderful finish to the hair which lasts for about a month. Then I reapply between color applications, once a month. I love the way it makes my hair look and feel.

I usually apply the whole bottle after each color and just apply by hands and massage for about 2 minutes and leave for 4 to 5 minutes then rinse it out. I do color and highlights and this product is excellent!
