I’ve been buying this shampoo for years and this is not the same product. Normally it’s a deep dark purple color that lathers up dark purple. This shampoo is a light translucent purple that lathers up white and smells different. Emailed customer service and never heard back. Appears to be either a fake or defective product. Don’t waste your money.
Best Purple Toning Shampoo!
I have tried a few other, higher priced, purple toning shampoos and Scruples has been the best! The smaller sized bottle has lasted me for months and months, as I only need to use it once or twice a week to keep my hair nice and ash blonde. The super dark purple shampoo seems to do the trick, people always ask if I got my hair done after I've used this product. I definitely use a good conditioning mask with this to keep my hair hydrated AND brassy free. I wish the scent was a little more impressive, but it is definitely not bad. I will certainly be ordering another bottle when I run out!
More Blue than Purple
This shampoo had more dark blue pigments which left my hair looking so ashy that it took on a green appearance. Several coworkers asked me if I had been swimming in Chlorine. If you want a silvery platinum stick with Clairol shimmering lights.
