    the best of them all
I have used this product for 15 years + when it was Artec and then L'Oreal and now hard to find. Matrix, Schwartzkov, Clairol and all the others don't measure up nor give the beautiful silver color. Bring it back L'Oreal.

    GREAT PRODUCT....Read the Directions Carefully
This Product is used AFTER your regular shampoo....If you use it alone, it will not clean your hair. If you use it properly, it will give a beautiful bright blond to your hair and tone down any brassy color.
    ProsGreat result.
ConsDirections on using your Shampoo FIRST should be clearer. My hairdresser had to tell me this.

    Great for Highlights
When my stylist first suggested this shampoo I thought she was crazy. Then I tried it and it kept my hair from turning brassy and boosted the white blond I pay to have put in every six weeks. Well worth the price. Heck, I'd pay three times as much to ensure my highlights don't turn a yucky color. Only one caution -- make sure to rinse it completely. I've gotten purple on my towels more than once from being in a hurry.
    ProsScent Prevents brassiness Affordable

!!!!AMAZING!!!!! The Best Ever For Blonde Lose that Brassiness!!!!!
I have used this product forever. When I started, you could only find it in upscale hotel salons. I'm in Las Vegas where the sun kills your lovely bleached locks and (Those salons are gone now). I've never used a toner just this shampoo with the AMAZING Matching Conditioner . I've been unable to locate it anywhere until today! I've tried Pantene, Silver Lights etc.... None are as high quality as this shampoo. They dry your hair out and leave it brittle. Us foil loving gals know it! I've been a model for the likes of Paul Mitchell and a cosmetotolgist too. The packaging threw me but its quality and you need only a small quantity! You'll save your hair and your money if you use this shampoo!
ProsQuality vs Quantity! A little will last you so in the long run its very inexpensive to use. The most AMAZING product for foiled/bleached blondes. Easy to use I mix it with regular shampoo. Cares for your hair when in extreme heat. Excellent and I'm so delighted I found it again!
Cons The only warning is this. Be careful and don't use it w/o mixing a small amount with the Kiwi shamoo. Otherwise if your hair is porous it will grab the violet base. A Little is enough you can always repeat! The only other thing is watch your eyes, towels etc! This shampoo will stain but is that not why we're here?

    L'oreal Colorist collection
I bought this product for my mom who leaves in Mediterranean region of Turkey. She has beautiful long gray hair. Since she started using this product, her hair more beautiful than ever. People on the street are stopping and asking her about her color. She is very happy and flattered about it.

ProsThis color-depositing shampoo also protects the hair from the sun...color lasts from shampoo to shampoo.

I love the White Violet. I'm a dark blonde and I was using the Ginger Root for a long time to maintain my color. It was nice, it gave a rich, warmth to color but it didn't stop the brassiness that came out toward the end of my colors life, especially a problem in the summer. I spoke with my colorist and she recommended I try the White Violet. She said first try half Ginger Root and Half White Violet. That's been OK. I've since moved on to only using the White Violet and I'm happy. Use it every other day. Mix a little bit of your usual shampoo into the purple shampoo so you get a wash. Do the same with the conditioner, mix a little bit of your usual conditioner with the purple conditioner. This routine keeps my hair shiny, not brassy and soft. I'm soooo happy! :-)
ProsIt keeps my hair color looking great!
ConsNothing, a little more time consuming since I mix in my shampoo and conditioner but we're talking 30 seconds. Not a big deal.

i have just a partial highlights and the rest is a dark browm. If i use this for my highlights will it change the color of my colored dark brown hair?
This is shampoo that refreshes blonde, highlighted, and silver hair and neutralizes yellow hues. It doesn't do anything with dark hair.
