What it is:
Joico Verocolor Hair Color is the only haircolor in the world that uses the reconstructive qualities of K-PAK Deep-Penetrating Reconstructor, Joico world-renowned hair reconstructor, in its formula. Use the Joico Hair Color Chart above to choose the correct color swatch. K-Pak's properties in VeroColor result in the richest, longest-lasting color, with unprecedented condition and shine. The benefits of K-PAK in VeroColor are apparent immediately.

What it does:
VeroColor contains the unique reconstructive properties of the Cationic Triamine Complex formula. Since it is positively charged, it will adhere strongly to the hair structure's surface. The benefit is deep penetration into the cuticle to repair damage while adding condition, strength and shine.

VeroColor has a pure creme texture with a water-soluble base. It is easy to mix. An additional benefit of water-solubility is that VeroColor is simply rinsed from the hair after processing. There is no need to shampoo. Therefore, the freshly-deposited dye molecules are given time to stabilize and "set" in the hair.

What else you need to know:
VeroColor is structured with a calibrated ammonia level system. This system permits all levels of haircolor to contain only the precise percentage of ammonia necessary for each level. VeroColor’s average ammonia is less than 2% (1.4 to 1.9%). This low percentage allows VeroColor to produce less cuticle damage, less scalp irritation and reduced odor.

Non Damaging
I purchased the medium ash blonde (8A) and it turned out darker than what I expected. My natural hair color is between a dark and a medium brown so I was expecting it to be a bit lighter than how it came out. It looks light ash brown, not medium ash blonde. I used the 20 volume developer and I'm thinking I should have gone with the 30 volume for more lift but I was worried about damage since my ends have been previously bleached. Thankfully it's very moisturizing so it didn't damage my hair. Another positive thing is that it's purple based so it does turn out ashy, which I like. The other thing I noticed is that it didn't cover my grey. Maybe I'll leave it on a little longer when I touch it up and see if that helps.
ProsNon damaging, doesn't smell bad, moisturizing.
ConsDarker than expected, doesn't cover grey.

I have been using the ultra high lift platinum for a decade now! I am dark brown naturally, use it to my roots and its perfect every time , the one and only that does it all brassy or orange ever, totally tones and keeps my long hair healthy. Ill always use this one and never change, its too perfect, the platinum colour is a hard one to find, but I can always find it here. thanks!

Is the 8N natural blonde darker, lighter or the same as 8NG Age Defy natural medium blonde in the Joico Vero K-Pak permanent color? The 8N looks lighter but that could be just the way it looks on my computer.

What volume do I use w Jioco Vero K-Pak color?
It depends on what color you are using , and what color you are. If you are adding color (going darker), use 10 volume. If you are taking color away (going lighter), use 20 volume and above. If you're going 1-2 shades brighter, use 20. 3 shades is 30 volume, and 40 volume for 4 or more.

10, 20 or 30. 30 for off-root only. You'll want the 20 or 30 for dark hair, 10 for light starting shades.

I used the Majenta color Intensity on a client...I have never used it before and the girl from supply house told me to just put on straight from the tube....I Ombre"d the bottom with the magenta and blonde highlites on the top and sides....My problem is the color won't wash all out and as soon as I shampoo it the magenta seem to just reactivate and won't rinse out and I had to go back over some of the highlites again cause the magenta stained the blonde...Can you please tell me where I went wrong....Plus I had the color everywhere....? I have very dark brown hair that outside of sunlight looks basically black. My hair dresser was using 3N on me and last time used 1N which now has made my hair look completely black. I want to go back to the 3N but with a drop of 1N. I am approx. 40% grey. I understand color can't make colored hair lighter. My questions: Starting on my new growth roots which are 40% grey can I use 3N with a drop of 1N. The goal to be with each coloring new root growth the roots will end up with 3N and my change in hair color will be lighter? What Vero K-Pak should I use? 20 Also is the ratio 1:1 for color and developer. Should I be using the colors with NN or just N. Last question should I be used Age Defy for better color coverage or stick with Vero k-pak. My goal is to have better grey coverage and end up with the darkest brown but stop short of black like my last coloring resulted in. thxs

I have used High lift golden blonde for years...until you changed the product, then I tried using Clairol lightest golden blonde. It does not hold color. I am light to begin with (very light brown/blonde with grey). Should I go back to the high lift golden blonde or use lightest golden blonde..8N? In the picture I am the short one.
Suggest trying 9N with tiny amount 9G, say 5%. If you want more lift try 30 volume developer in the formula you appy to root area, 20 elsewhere on first application. If your ends are already light enough, using 10 volume developer there will allow more deposit of color. Try to only color mid lengths to ends every third or fourth time you color. Check your formula and timing on a test strand from a not especially visible area before using on whole head. I change my haircolor frequently and find Joico the best haircolor, especially their age defy formulas.

I am 50-75% gray. Trying to obtain a light to medium auburn but my gray roots always go hot. What colors should I be using and is a combination of color the way to go?
"Auburn" contains red and orange pigment, obviously the result will be "hot". If you need a natural color you can use the colors with the mark "N" or "NN"
