What it is:
Joico Verocolor Hair Color is the only haircolor in the world that uses the reconstructive qualities of K-PAK Deep-Penetrating Reconstructor, Joico world-renowned hair reconstructor, in its formula. Use the Joico Hair Color Chart above to choose the correct color swatch. K-Pak's properties in VeroColor result in the richest, longest-lasting color, with unprecedented condition and shine. The benefits of K-PAK in VeroColor are apparent immediately.

What it does:
VeroColor contains the unique reconstructive properties of the Cationic Triamine Complex formula. Since it is positively charged, it will adhere strongly to the hair structure's surface. The benefit is deep penetration into the cuticle to repair damage while adding condition, strength and shine.

VeroColor has a pure creme texture with a water-soluble base. It is easy to mix. An additional benefit of water-solubility is that VeroColor is simply rinsed from the hair after processing. There is no need to shampoo. Therefore, the freshly-deposited dye molecules are given time to stabilize and "set" in the hair.

What else you need to know:
VeroColor is structured with a calibrated ammonia level system. This system permits all levels of haircolor to contain only the precise percentage of ammonia necessary for each level. VeroColor’s average ammonia is less than 2% (1.4 to 1.9%). This low percentage allows VeroColor to produce less cuticle damage, less scalp irritation and reduced odor.

Absolutely perfect color.
I get compliments on it all the time because it looks so natural. It is very easy to use too. I also want to mention the great customer service that I have received. I couldn't find a product that I wanted on their website, so I emailed them. Cynthia sent me 2 responses and the last one had the direct link to the product that I wanted. She made it super easy to order. Sleek Shop has earned my business and I will be a loyal customer.....and look great too!
ProsVery natural color with low and highlights built in. Blends perfectly when I redo just the roots. It is very easy to use and does not have a strong odor, like most hair colors do. The color lasts the entire month, until I have to color again due to the gray. Covers the gray perfectly.
ConsI have no cons. I love the product

I Love This!
I use the Silver Blonde TSB color and it gives me a beautiful almost white hair color after I bleach. I replace a toner with this color to get platinum blonde, and I rinse it out just when it starts turning a silver color. I love the results I get from this color!

Leaves hair nice but doesn't lift enough!
Nice product. Goes along with a developer made to keep hair in great condition which it did. I used a 30 volume. Should have bumped up to a 40. Lightened hair to a golden tone not the blonde I was going for. Would try again with a higher volume.
ProsLeaves hair conditioned and shiny.
ConsDoesn't lift as well as thought.

When responding to another customer regarding Joico developers you stated "You can use 10, 20, 30 volume" but then you noted that 30 vol is for "off root use only" What did you mean by that? My roots are a natural level 5 and I color my hair with Joico Vero K Pak 9RG. I use 30 vol developer with this color for root application and my color is fine. Just curious what you meant by off root use only for Joico's 30 vol developer. Thanks.

I was just meaning if you were to bump up to bleach vs Color the 30 volume would be just for off scalp application. I used the 30 volume with a high lift Color and it didn’t take me to a nice blonde. It was still too gold. So you can use any developer 10 and up with colours but nothing higher then a 20 with bleach for on scalp applications :) sorry if I didn’t clarify “bleach†which I need to use to take me to the blonde I prefer. Hope this helps. I also used oleplex with the 30 developer and high lift blonde so maybe it weakened the concentration not lifting it as high as it could lift.

I have natural black hair. My mom uses the vero k-pak color 6N (light brown). She always has a few of them on hand. If i dye my hair with the same color, will I end up with a medium/dark brown?
1 Answers
I doubt so. You can try with 30 vol developer but the result will be with orange brassie. You will need to correct the shade with demi or toning hair due

Currently I am using Joico 7G Dark Golden Blonde- 1oz and mixing with 5N Medium Brown-3oz. My color is not what I really want. I would like a Light Brown. I am 100% Grey. The Under parts of my hair always come out darker. What can I use to be light brown all through my hair?
2 Answers
If you want brown probably you don't need the colour with mark "G" which means "gold". Try the N shade on the needed level

If you are 100% Grey, you need to use N or NN shades to cover it. But these shades are very pigment-rich so probably you should choose a lighter level - 7 for example

Is the 8N natural blonde darker, lighter or the same as 8NG Age Defy natural medium blonde in the Joico Vero K-Pak permanent color? The 8N looks lighter but that could be just the way it looks on my computer.
1 Answers
8N and 8NG have the same level, the difference is only in pigments 8NG - 70% of natural (brown) pigments and 30% of gold pigments, 8N - natural (brown) pigments only

What volume do I use w Jioco Vero K-Pak color?
3 Answers
It depends on what color you are using , and what color you are. If you are adding color (going darker), use 10 volume. If you are taking color away (going lighter), use 20 volume and above. If you're going 1-2 shades brighter, use 20. 3 shades is 30 volume, and 40 volume for 4 or more.

10, 20 or 30. 30 for off-root only. You'll want the 20 or 30 for dark hair, 10 for light starting shades.

You will not have any highlights after colouring your hair to dark brown. 5A and 6A can give a green shade over highlights

I have very dark brown hair that outside of sunlight looks basically black. My hair dresser was using 3N on me and last time used 1N which now has made my hair look completely black. I want to go back to the 3N but with a drop of 1N. I am approx. 40% grey. I understand color can't make colored hair lighter. My questions: Starting on my new growth roots which are 40% grey can I use 3N with a drop of 1N. The goal to be with each coloring new root growth the roots will end up with 3N and my change in hair color will be lighter? What Vero K-Pak should I use? 20 Also is the ratio 1:1 for color and developer. Should I be using the colors with NN or just N. Last question should I be used Age Defy for better color coverage or stick with Vero k-pak. My goal is to have better grey coverage and end up with the darkest brown but stop short of black like my last coloring resulted in. thxs

For grey coverage you need 20 vol developer. If you apply 3N only on re-grow zone with time all your hair will be lighter

Choose the color and developer. The process time depends on choosed color and developer. For 5 vol. - 5-15 minutes, for 10 vol. - 25-35, for 20 vol. 35-45 (40-45 for Age defy series), 30 vol - 45-55 minutes, 40 vol - 55-65 minutes

I have used High lift golden blonde for years...until you changed the product, then I tried using Clairol lightest golden blonde. It does not hold color. I am light to begin with (very light brown/blonde with grey). Should I go back to the high lift golden blonde or use lightest golden blonde..8N? In the picture I am the short one.
1 Answers
Suggest trying 9N with tiny amount 9G, say 5%. If you want more lift try 30 volume developer in the formula you appy to root area, 20 elsewhere on first application. If your ends are already light enough, using 10 volume developer there will allow more deposit of color. Try to only color mid lengths to ends every third or fourth time you color. Check your formula and timing on a test strand from a not especially visible area before using on whole head. I change my haircolor frequently and find Joico the best haircolor, especially their age defy formulas.

"Auburn" contains red and orange pigment, obviously the result will be "hot". If you need a natural color you can use the colors with the mark "N" or "NN"
