Good hair color that is gentle to hair.
I have been using this color for several months now. It is very gentle, effective and lasting color without stripping my hair. I cant think of switching to another brand.
ProsGentle and effective

Terrible Product
I have had my hair colored for about 15 years and have never had a problem. My hair stylist used CHI hair dye for the first time yesterday. My scalp burned, itched and I could not keep it in for longer than 10 minutes. My heart rate dropped to under 50 then increased to 170 and had to be rushed to the ER. I had a allergic reaction to this product that has caused some of my hair to fall out, a chemical burn on my head and rash on my body from washing the chemical out in the shower. I do not suggest this product to anyone that does not do research on the "better chemicals" they use.
Consburning, itching scalp, chemical burn, severe allergic reaction.

Which one would turn out more ash on a level 7 or 6 8b or 8aa
As the numbers go up the lighter the shade of color so a 6 would be darker meaning more ash. There is only 7A and 7AA. Best thing to do is to check Chi color chart for the shade you're looking for. I use this product and love it. No harsh smells and no ammonia to strip the hair. Has great color coverage. As it fades it fades all at the same time so you get less of the "skunk look". If you're looking to cover up grey go for a 5 or less

If I'm a very light blonde, i usually high lift my blonde hair to a platinum blonde to get the brassyness out witha level 12.2 with a 40 developer. I want to add some shin. Will the chi ionic color 11i blonde very very clear iridescent add any iridescent hue or just a shine? I'm wanting something to give me a faint iridescent hue. I would think the other iride cents might darken my hair, right? I have very short hair so I don't need to use much at a time. What is the racio? Is there a difference in the cream and the liquid?

Could I add Chi Ionic Permanente Shine in Blue to my Revlon Color Silk box color in #12 Natural Blue Black? I have naturally black hair with stubborn gray roots. I touch up my roots every 3 weeks with #11 Soft Black color. I've found the only product that saturates my roots to my true color is Revlon Color Silk. For some reason even salon colors turn my roots brown, red or orange. I would love to color my hair Midnight Blue and someone said to try mixing the CHI color into equal parts of the Revlon Color Silk blue-black dye and developer to achieve a blue- black color with more noticeable bluish tones that I wanted. My daughter loves ordering products from Sleek Beauty and suggested I ask what you thought. Thanks so much for your help and looking forward to hearing back form you :) Aloha!!!

Hello, I just ordered the FAROUK CHI IONIC PERMANENT SHINE HAIR COLOR - ULP-13A and then realized that CHI Also has the INFRA High Lift available in Cool Blonde and beige blond. Could you please explain the difference between these two products? How do they differ in terms of results? I wish to apply the product to 4 inches of level 7 dark blonde natural hair that has grown out. I have platinum blonde highlights beyond the four inches of natural hair. I would like to lighten the natural hair outgrowth with something that will lift close to my highlighted platinum. It doesn't have to match. I am more concerned about using something that is gentle. I stopped getting highlights because of bleach damage and breakage to my fine hair. I intend to leave the highlighted part alone.

I use 50-6N with 20 color generator. It covers my 50% grey well but tends to get brassy looking after 1-2 weeks. Reading info in your manual it says in this case to use either beige, irridenscent or ash to neutralize this problem. So do I use one of those colors along with the 50-6N plus the 20 color generator in my mixture. Typically I leave the color on for 45 mins.

i got my hair professional done by CHI stylist she colored my hair 4CM dark mocha looks but it looks black on me i want to redo it myself how do i go from 4CM to 6AA Light Ash Ash brown using CHI iONIC?Thanks and how long to color with same color my hair line only part that has few grays stubborn . Thanks
If your hair was colored with 4 level you can not make it lighter with the color products. You will need a special bleached product for that

I am currently mixing 7N and 8N with a little ash. Would 8A be close to the same color for me?
If you mix 7N and 8N the color is 7,5 N - natural. 8A is a half-tone lighter and has another shadow - Ash

My hair is dark brown and i wont to be Blonde Gray which one I have to use? And how? II've put two pictures to illustrate colors
The color can make your natural hair lighter up to 4 levels and I see you need more than 4. For that you'll need a special bleached product - powder or cream, not the color.

Will the double ash blonde tone brassyredgold I tried 8a and 8s +green and blue intensifier in glitz color but wasnt satisfied
As my experience, all of CHI blond shadows give warm result. But you can try double ash, it may be better than Ash.

Hi ,I have bleached blond hair that I am always toning into a beige pink tone , my roots are about a 7 with a few greys now, I want to try this colour and bleach system with CHI , What would you use to paint on my roots to lift it to a light iridescent blond , I like the beige tones, I cant use the high volumes anymore due to the chemical on my scalp. IF I use 91 light iridescent blond what volume should I use , would 30 be strong enough and would I have to add a beige toner with it. Thanks for your help Cheers Nicole
For lift from 7 to 10 level you don't need use the bleached products. They damage the structure of hair very hard. Better decision is to use the hight-lift levels of color with 40 developer. To protect your scalp in coloring process you can use special product, ex. Pureology Colourists' Solution Anti-Drying Pretreatment.

It depends how color nuance you want (cold, warm) and which color has your hair. To receive good color you should use color one level darker than your hair has.
